One Act Play: Antigone
An original adaptation based on the Greek tragedy by Sophocles, written by the cast of Winthrop High School Drama Society 2017.
Cast of Characters
Antigone - the play's tragic heroine
Ismene - Antigone's sister, the good girl of the family
Creon - Antigone's uncle, a practical man bound to ideas of good sense and simplicity
Tiresias - a prophet with a history of being reviled and ignored by those most in need of his advice and support
Haemon - Antigone's fiance and son to Creon
Greek Chorus - a group acting as narrator, commentator, and instructor throughout the play
Each cast member in Antigone is responsible for paying the performance fee. This fee covers the costs of participation in the production. Cast members are encouraged to join Drama Club as well.
Tech crew members are responsible for joining Drama Club and paying Drama Club Membership dues. Tech crew members do not need to pay the Antigone performance fee.
